Taca Ozawa - Hair and Makeup Design

While at Keep 6 last week, I bumped into Takatoshi Ozawa (or Taca Ozawa as most people call him)  While working on the model for Tomolennon’s show I had a chance to talk to him.  Check out the video below.

Taca has been into the whole colour and arts scene since he was a young lad in Chiba, Japan.  His passion for the arts and colour combined with his love for hair pushed him to eventually work as an instructor for REDKEN in Japan.  After some years as a REDKEN instructor in Toronto, he’s now keepin’ his clients happy by being as wild as ever.  Be sure to give him a call if you are looking for a good stylist.

Fashionable Technology video reveal new ideas in smart clothing

The creative fiends at Cool Hunting helped reveal some dope new ideas in fashion technology with their latest video. The video unearths some awesome stuff including a massage vest that is hacked to a Playstation allowing one to play Super Mario Bros. (or any other game) while giving a back massage.  Seeing her give that back rub to control the playstation makes it seem like just the ticket for my girlfriend.  Er…WHAT?! What’s wrong with that? All guys like it when their gf’s do that.  Check out some more of new fashion in the vid below.

Before I begin, I’d just like to wish you, the readers, a Happy Canada Day. After you’re done reading, GO OUT AND EAT SOME BAR-BE-QUE!

From the American Company ‘Skate Study House’, I bring to you skateboard furniture. What they do is take old boards, create a design for and manufacture them as well. Chairs, lounges, clocks, bookshelves and more, these designs are catered to fit your very own need. Each piece can be custom-made to suit your own desire. Designs come from the skate world itself, and they are continually exploring new and different ways that boards may be used in every day life.

Nick Veasey X-Ray Portfolio

Nic Veasey’s Portfolio of X-Ray photos are totally striking.  If you’ve never heard of him you’ve probably seen his work before.  He’s done work for some big names such as Adobe and the CS2 product lineup and United Airlines’ huge X-Ray of a Boeing 777.  Another awesome project that I loved was this lifesize vehicle wrap he did for a Hospital.  Imagine an entire bus wrapped with his X-Ray images.  His series of X-Ray projects are definitely worth checking out and while all of them are stunning the ones that are most mind boggling is the Animal X-Ray series.  When I see human X-rays, I usually look for some kind of deformity, like a broken bone or a toycar stuck in anal rectum.   Seeing X-Rays of Pigs, Dogs, and even Bats certainly freaked me out and kept me staring for more than half an hour.

Cool STOP sign photos

The Flickr blog posted up a cool write up on an awesome collection of STOP sign photos from flickr users.  I found this amusing mainly because of the “STOP Hammertime” and “STOP Collaborate and Listen”  Two classic yet cheesy 90’s Rap lyrics live forever on the city streets.  Perhaps it was MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice’s vision all along.
